Amalfi : A Romantic Place For Italian Foodlovers

Amalfi is truly an authentic Italian fine dining place located in G.K 2. This classy and beautiful restaurant provides cozy seating to their diners in three levels. The restaurant gives a feeling of an old Italian house, it has an open area on the second floor & a rooftop. The rooftop is cozy & beautiful, perfect for a dinner date.

To start with I ordered, Insalata Mista al Formaggio, an Italian salad which was mix of lettuce, green apple, asparagus tossed in agro dolce dressing with walnuts & feta cheese. The salad was amazing and the perfect crunch of lettuce & walnuts made it more delicious.

Tried Souffle Alla Gorgonzola, a cheese soufflé, served with porcini mushroom sauce. It was very delicious & cheesy. You cannot miss this at your visit to Amalfi.

A pan seared chicken dish named Pollo al Pesto was good in flavors. The perfectly cooked chicken was really soft & juicy. You can try that. For first main course, I ordered Pizza Basilico e Bocconcini, which was a thin crust pizza topped with jalapenos, dry tomatoes, olive & permasen cheese. It was just a nice pizza, I expected it to be more flavorful & delicious. For the second main course, I tried Scottato In Padella Basa con Marina, Risotto con Misto Funghi & Spiedini di Pollo alla Pancetta.

The Scottato in Padella Basa con Marina was a pan seared basa topped with marinara sauce served with mashed potato and sautéed vegetables. I just loved the beautifully cooked basa with marinara sauce and its combination with mashed potato was delightful. It was just perfect for my taste buds.

Risotto con Misto Funghi was Arborio rice cooked in white wine with wild mushroom & porcini finished with aged parmesan cheese. It was super delicious with perfect flavors. Just yumm to have. Don’t miss this one.
Spiedini dipollo alla pancetta was bacon wrapped chicken skewers served with honey prune chilli sauce. Perfectly cooked chicken skewers served with honey & prunes were delectable.

Tiramisu

The main course was very delicious, everything is highly recommended, the pizzas were not as good as expected, but everything else was at its best.

For desserts I ordered, Tiramisu & Fondente al Cioccolato. I loved both the desserts equally, the traditional Italian dessert, Tiramisu is not be missed.

This place with a calm & cozy ambiance, serves some delectable Italian food. And trust me if you are an Italian food lover, do visit this place once.
