The Wishing Chair: A Romantic Place To Go For A Coffee Date
The Wishing Chair is a lifestyle retail brand in the home accessories and gifting space, located in South Point Mall, Gurgaon. This beautiful place has been named after an Enid Blyton-concocted flying chair. Hence, it has a dreamy and fascinating ambiance.
There are wall installations made entirely out of teapots, and some with fancy artificial flower arrangements. They sell the products, which are carefully designed and curated to speak the language of magic, playfulness, dreamlike incredulity and feminine charm.
In fact, they even give some lovely home décor tips and how can you use these piece of beauties in the best way.
The name of their cafe is quite interesting, ‘The Mad Teapot’. So, The Mad Teapot is The Wishing Chair’s very own in-house Café which serves healthy vegetarian food. The pastel colored walls, colorful chairs give a feminine yet very dreamy feeling here.
There is a beautiful Tea Counter in the Cafe, which you must check out at your own risk, as I am sure you will not be able to stop yourself from drooling over the soft creamy cupcakes there.
After enjoying the fantasizing ambiance of the Cafe’, finally, I ordered Hot Chocolate & Oreo Shake with The Whatzizname Sandwich.
The dark, rich Hot Chocolate just coated my tongue thickly before flowing down my throat. This delicious drink was served with a hot crumbly cookie.
The thick, yummy & creamy Oreo Shake was served in a beautiful long glass.
The Whatzizname Sandwichs were filled with plum tomatoes, lettuce, pesto spread & the right amount of melted mozzarella cheddar.
Must say their simple & delightful menu is just a perfect example of healthy and delicious food.
They serve variety of Pastas like Classic Spaghetti in Arabiatta Sauce, Penne Pasta, Fusilli etc. Moreover, here, you can also ask them to make one according to your taste buds, they will do it happily.
Also tried one of the flatbreads, with a thin and crisp bread base, topped with some fresh veggies & cheese.
The Rainbow Roundabout which is a sampling platter of five mini flatbreads in two sauces with an assortment topping can also be tried.
These are small bites which can be enjoyed with Shakes or fresh Mocktails.
In Drinks, try Lemon Ice Tea, Cranberry Iced Tea, Oreo Shake or the different kind of teas they serve.
To end the meal we headed towards the dessert section. My favorite section!
They make some lovely cupcakes which are more delicious than they look. You will have to try them to trust me.
In desserts, tried Cupcakes, then, Flourless Chocolate Mini Pudding which was served very cutely in a small pan topped with vanilla ice cream.
This was a flourless cake, baked using eggs, cocoa powder and chocolate.
Then comes the Ice Cream Cookie Sundae which is again a must try for the hot summers.
A cute romantic place which is perfect to go for a date or to chit-chat with friends over a coffee! Food was good and staff was courteous.
